Springtime is being shy, but I can almost taste it. More days with the windows open and less with the heater on. My man and I went out target shooting yesterday. The Target? His laptop! SO much fun to shoot up:) The sun was out and warm, the grass was so green, and the lakes and ponds around us were sparkling as we relaxed and enjoyed the afternoon. Afterward we grabbed some Chickflia for dinner before going to see The Lorax. (Which, I don't recommend. Too "green" and agenda filled.) Of course, we all lost an hour of sleep last night, but in the long run I am looking forward to it staying light out longer! I'm also very ready to being working on my tan and ridding my arms and legs of their ridiculously pale white color. My man's at work, and I am just doing some laundry and frying chicken for dinner. Spring break, sunshine, warm weather, and cooking. Life is good :)

I'm always amazed when  a week that starts off rough turns around into an amazing new adventure. We have had tornadoes, 3 inches of snow, and today is was mid-60's and sunny. Gotta love Kentucky weather. I've also had a super productive day, including patching a hole in my man's jeans, from where his holster rubs them. I've been pretty wifey today, working on organizing things I knew would help my man. Nothing I love more than practicing being his helpmeet. The Lord has been teaching me heavily the greatness of His Mercy and Grace and how we are supposed to follow in the same accord with our forgiveness of others. Spring break starts Friday, and I am starting to get stoked about my Best Friend's wedding, June 2nd. I have a huge pot of Texas chili on the stove now, waiting for my man to get off work, so we can enjoy Frito pies and sharing stories from our day. I hope to start getting some seeds planted this week. That's about all the news from Smalltown America, other than we bought an awesome new Desktop computer that I'm looking forward to souping up in the future. Also, I think I will get back into making videos here shortly.

Well, baby steps worked and I survived the week and had an incredible weekend. Had the honor of attending the 37th Annual Right To Life Banquet last night with my man. Enjoyed dinner, fellowship, and keynote speaker Andy Barr. Renewed my passion to be more vocal about the Prolife movement and I'm looking forward to getting to speak to a few youth groups soon. I've been searching through Pinterest lately, trying to find nifty organizing tips, because that's my main challenge this week- Get Organized. This upcoming week is going to be special. My man and I celebrate our 1yr 8mnth anniversary on Wednesday, and it's special because it's a leap year, which means we actually get to celebrate it this year and he has the day off. I think we have plans to see Acts of Valor and probably dinner somewhere. I can't believe March 1st is this week too, and I am stoked beyond words for spring! This WILL be the year I become a decent gardener and grow lots of foods to cook with. Maybe I will search Pinterest for some garden tips too, but for now I'm off for a nice Sunday nap.

You know that feeling when you have a million and one things to do, and you don't know how you are going to get it all done? That's me right now. Laundry needs washing, speeches need writing, room needs cleaning, there are papers to file and deadlines to meet....oh, and bills, budgets, and other fun grown up financial things. I have chicken in the fridge soaking, before I fry it for dinner tonight. I guess that was productive. Overwhelmed and behind, mostly due to a sickness I have been fighting off for over a week now. Learning to prioritize and constantly checking off and adding things to a to-do list has caused a massive headache. I did manage to remember to make the bed this morning, only to mess it up with a short nap. So many things piling up, and trying to squeeze in more, such as exercise and date nights? However, not skimping on my devotional time has been the best encourager to my mood and productivity. Jesus said "Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) Really, that verse breaks down everything for me as- what's the big deal? Why are you stressing? And I chug along with baby steps, one check mark at a time, because my Savior already overcame it all.

So as you can tell, I have a new site. It is a work in progress, but I think it will be worth all the work behind it. Everything from updates on our life, recipe reviews, how to's, movie reviews, etc. Like I said, it is a work in progress, but I'm excited and I hope you are too! :)
