Things I have learned this week-

  • I'm very indecisive when it comes to wedding colors. I want a mix of fun and fairytale
  • It takes a week to resize a ring, which I am not happy about, but my wedding diet made it too loose on my finger.
  • You register for your wedding license 30-60 days before your wedding.
  • I can't do a pull up to save my life.
  • Creating a guest list is a boat load of work. Makes a small wedding look remp

I'M ENGAGED! And after 5 days of engagement bliss, I'm still excited! lol We've picked a date, I have our engagement photography shoot scheduled, I'm researching pre-marital counselors we would like to use, and I'm about to get started on our guest list. Pretty good start, I think. I will be updating the website as we progress and have news to share. Also, I start a new job next week at the Theaters, which means I have money to save up for wedding expenses, and I get to see Hunger Games the day before the midnight premier! I'm suffering through this wedding diet, but it's not easy...I want carbs and chocolate, not this horrible green, healthy stuff! It has already started paying off though, because I'm already down a pant's size, so I guess that is motivation. Tomorrow is the first day of spring!

My man surprised me with these beautiful flowers this morning! I think I've had a pretty productive Tuesday. By productive I mean I remember to feed my fish, take my vitamins, do an ab work-out, and I am currently in the process of trying to naturally dye my hair, as I have a pot of coffee, coffee grounds, unsweetened cocoa powder, and lemon juice soaking on my head. I have some craft projects I plan on working on, and the windows are open. Loving me some spring break! Really though, I'm just ready for Thursday! Anyway, I'm off to browse through recipes I want to try out and make a shopping list. I'm torn between trying a cleansing diet, or just not even trying until after my birthday. Knowing me, I will go with the latter.

Springtime is being shy, but I can almost taste it. More days with the windows open and less with the heater on. My man and I went out target shooting yesterday. The Target? His laptop! SO much fun to shoot up:) The sun was out and warm, the grass was so green, and the lakes and ponds around us were sparkling as we relaxed and enjoyed the afternoon. Afterward we grabbed some Chickflia for dinner before going to see The Lorax. (Which, I don't recommend. Too "green" and agenda filled.) Of course, we all lost an hour of sleep last night, but in the long run I am looking forward to it staying light out longer! I'm also very ready to being working on my tan and ridding my arms and legs of their ridiculously pale white color. My man's at work, and I am just doing some laundry and frying chicken for dinner. Spring break, sunshine, warm weather, and cooking. Life is good :)

I'm always amazed when  a week that starts off rough turns around into an amazing new adventure. We have had tornadoes, 3 inches of snow, and today is was mid-60's and sunny. Gotta love Kentucky weather. I've also had a super productive day, including patching a hole in my man's jeans, from where his holster rubs them. I've been pretty wifey today, working on organizing things I knew would help my man. Nothing I love more than practicing being his helpmeet. The Lord has been teaching me heavily the greatness of His Mercy and Grace and how we are supposed to follow in the same accord with our forgiveness of others. Spring break starts Friday, and I am starting to get stoked about my Best Friend's wedding, June 2nd. I have a huge pot of Texas chili on the stove now, waiting for my man to get off work, so we can enjoy Frito pies and sharing stories from our day. I hope to start getting some seeds planted this week. That's about all the news from Smalltown America, other than we bought an awesome new Desktop computer that I'm looking forward to souping up in the future. Also, I think I will get back into making videos here shortly.
